Hi, I’m Karissa. The idea of organizing goes way back for me even before I started this organizing business. I grew up with a dad that would throw anything out that was left out of place. I know he was extreme, but it kept me from not putting my belongings back where they belonged. I did not want my dad to throw my stuff away. But then as I grew up, I put stuff back, but started collecting things like perfume bottles, coin purses, clothes, beauty products, shoes, bike equipment and much more. I had this box in college that I kept extra stuff in like paper, office products and extra personal items that I carried around with me from dorm to dorm, year after year. One day in my senior year of college a roomate took that box and went outside. She dumped it in the dumpster and said to me, “You do not need this any more.” I was floored and shocked all in one. That very experience broke me from saving and collecting everything. Since that moment years ago till now, I regularly clean out my house and yard every year to not over-clutter my life and it definitely gives me, “Space to Breathe.”
